How do I calculate a discount?
Use "What is X% of Y" to find the discount amount, then subtract it from the price. For 25% off 80: 25% of 80 = 20, so you pay 60.
How is percentage change calculated?
(new โ old) รท old ร 100. Going from 50 to 60 is a 20% increase; from 60 back to 50 is a 16.67% decrease.
How do I add VAT?
Multiply the price by 1 plus the rate. For 18% VAT: price ร 1.18.
